“How To get from Myeong-dong to Everland”
Just would like to share to fellow travellers that are figuring out a way to Everland on their own.
I was staying at Ibis Seoul Myeong-dong.
1. Taxi from Hotel - about 50,000 won (it should be about 40,000 won + the toll and some extra for the taxi driver, it is quite a long journey probably close to an hour drive)
2. Bus 5002
- as per recommendation by most other travellers
- take the subway train line 2 to Gangnam Station
- exit 3 (i double checked this with the hotel staff)
- you have to walk about 350m to the bus stop outside of kyongbo tower (based on information from other travellers)
3. Bus 5800
- take the subway train line 2 to Jamsil Station
- this is the station where you can go to Lotte World as well
- I believe it should be exit 1, but I can't remember. Follow the sign to come out from the station.
- you are supposed to cross of a huge river, or lake, where you will find the bus stop across the street.
Once you reach everland, you will find the shuttle bus waiting area, which will bring you to everland on their bus.
On the way back to town, I took busy 5800 instead of 5002 because it's full. Most people will take bus 5002. So unless you like to wait in the cold, I would go with bus 5800.
If you have taken the subway/bus you would have the T card. Use the T card for transportation with bus or subway. Instructions is in english and you can purchase it in the subway. The cost of the bus ride is 2000 WON.
Please note that when you take a bus, nobody will tell you that you have reached your stop, so you have to take note where you are. (probably if you take 5002, most people will be dropping off so no issue there).
I hope this will help most people looking for information on how to get to Everland from Myeong-dong
